IRIDEX is the only biogas-based electricity producer in Romania. Efficiently collecting and using the gas resulting from the natural fermentation processes at CMID Chiajna, IRIDEX operates a plant with an installed capacity of 3.6 MWh, producing more than 20,000 MWh annually in an environmentally friendly way.

IRIDEX is also developing 2 photovoltaic parks in the south of the country with an installed capacity of 5 MWh each, thus responding to two major commands: the energy crisis and the production of energy from "clean" and renewable sources. They are due to go into operation soon.
